The success of “40 Secondi” at the Rome Film Fest: Our Contribution to On-Set Safety

Some collaborations feel special from the very beginning. 40 Secondi was one of those projects — a film capable of combining artistic strength, emotional depth and remarkable human energy on set.
Produced by Eagle Pictures, the film has now been awarded the Jury Prize at the Rome Film Fest 2025, a recognition that confirms the impact this story has had on audiences and critics alike.

For us at Framinia, supporting this production has been both an honour and a meaningful experience. Working behind the scenes is often invisible to the public, but it’s where much of the work that allows a film to exist actually happens. Safety — when done well — disappears into the background, enabling creativity to flourish without interruption.

From pre-production to the very last day of filming, we accompanied the team with a constant presence, adapting our approach to the rhythm, intensity and needs of each stage of the shoot. The film involved multiple environments, technical challenges, and fast-moving moments — all elements that require a careful, thoughtful and proactive safety strategy.

Throughout the production, Framinia handled:

  • Health surveillance for the entire crew, ensuring every worker was fit for their tasks and supported throughout the shooting schedule.
  • Safety inductions and tailored training sessions, delivered directly on set and customised to different departments and roles.
  • Regular inspections and monitoring during filming, helping the production identify and manage potential risks as locations and scenes changed.
  • Preparation of all required safety documentation, from assessments to operational procedures, adapted to the specific activities of the film.
  • Continuous consultancy and on-site assistance, offering practical solutions and guidance whenever new needs or unexpected challenges emerged.

Being present on a set like 40 Secondi, also means experiencing the daily life of a production — the early mornings, the late evenings, the teamwork, the problem-solving, the silent coordination behind each shot. Supporting that process from a health and safety perspective is not simply a technical service: it is a way to protect the people who give life to the film, making sure they can work confidently and with the care they deserve.

Seeing the film receive such an important award at the Rome Film Fest is not only a success for the production team but also a moment of pride for everyone who contributed behind the scenes. We are grateful to Eagle Pictures for their trust and collaboration throughout the entire project.
